Reports are emphatically able to say that: Indoor cycling training is all about fitness, but may however be very little fun. But then, come what may, thunder showers or heavy rains, there is nothing stopping you from the grind that you have bet your health upon. Cycling – Training Programs

Rollers: These tend not to have any resistance, and are great for keeping supple, but will not be able to add any power. They also help with our balance, but, be very careful because we tend to fall when we are tired.

Begin with a 15 minute start, and add on another 5 minutes each time. Keep this up until you reach the hour. However start with a steady warm up then ride bringing our pulse to the point where we are breathing a little heavily. Keep this up to a point, and then cool down. Remember that steady rides are the best way to sweat the fat out of our systems.

Once we are here, it is time to start the interval training, and which can be split into short sprints and longer intervals, which in other words – aerobic and anaerobic training.

Interval Training: This can be done very scientifically, with a pulse monitor, and a power meter. We can get up to the required pulse and go up to our max and for the correct length of time as well. Intervals are the best way to keep fit and do your bike training indoors during the cold winters. But keep in mind never to overwork with limited results; and build up gradually, there is no shortcut to health and fitness really.

If all this is indoors, we surely need to use an electric fan, and even in a cool garage or an open cover, we would still need the ventilation of moving air. Remember when you went mountain biking, it was not only the biking providing health, the air and the atmosphere of the mountainside contributed equally for your fitness.
