The 2005 West Side Mountain Bike Series wrapped up with the final race today, and the bunnies came away with 5 trophies. Derik came in 2nd both in his class and overall on the day, with Shawn right behind him in 3rd. Ben snagged 5th, despite crashing as close to the finish as possible. Barry finished 7th, 2nd in his class, and Becky 29th, 1st in her class. Overall, we crowned 3 series champions, Ben in the 19-34 Beginner Men, Barry in the 35-44 Beginner Men, and Becky in the 19-34 Beginner Women. Derik and Shawn took home 3rd and 4th in the 19-34 Beginner Men, as well. Story and results...

Only 5 strong bunnies braved the conditions today in Mason Lake #3. Bman went at it alone in the Cat 4 race, but unfortunately was forced to retire early. Joe Bar had 4 racers in the Masters C race, and once again, David Martos was the star, coming in 3rd. J and Wilbur also finished strong, in 13th and 17th respectively. Martos also finished the series in 3rd place in Masters C. Story and results...

The second round of the Mason Lake series was today, and Joe Bar represented well. We had 11 racers in 3 races, with the biggest turnout for the Masters C race, with 7. Long story short, we placed 4 in the top 20 of the Masters C, including 3 top 10 and our first road win of the season. Congrats to David Martos. Story and results...

The third race in the West Side Mountain Bike Series was held this morning. The weather was beautiful, and the Beginners took advantage, finishing 1-2-3, thanks to D's strategic control of the first lap. Ben went off the front, and Barry and Derik rounded out the top three. The Mason Lake series started today, and Joe Bar had 9 racers in 3 different categories. Beautiful weather made for some great racing. A few technical and mechanical difficulties, but all of the Joe Bar riders stayed upright, and got back into the swing of pack racing. Story and results...
