SCC #4: Ft. Steilacoom
Oh, what a delight; a beautiful autumn morning at Ft. Steilacoom, bunnies pitter-pattering around the sun-dappled course, enjoying the brisk fall air until they encounter THE GAPING MAW OF HELL, the 80-meter long run-up known as the longest, steepest, hardest run-up on the West Coast. This year's unique course layout brought a thigh-burning uphill slog, a rutted downhill, a ridiculously bumpy section through a prairie dog town (seemingly), and plenty of suffering to the 12 bunnies in attendance.

Cross season is here! (And so is a much delayed web update!) The Seattle Cyclocross Series got underway Sunday at Snohomish in sharp contrast to the dry courses of some of the early, non-series races, this was a mud-fest! Is it any wonder the lap times got slower and slower as the day progressed? The Bunnies put in some outstanding performances (offset by a few technical problems, like Dan's flats and DJ's multi-bike pile-up), no doubt influenced by the tremendous cheering section.
