In what ended up being a hot-for-Seattle- in-June day, we bunnies suited up in our Tyvex bunny armor
to do battle with guys in their underwear and adult diapers. Contested on single speed coaster bikes,
the Joe Bar Team set out to risk limb and reputation against a mixed field of Cat 1s to Cat 4s. There
was a hockey team, a newborn diaper-clad team, thieves (Kenny W. and company) and the "meatpackers"
of Bryne. From the gun we showed that being fully dressed may have been a mistake. We crashed, we
had three mechanicals, we weren't super clever with the announcers, but we DID finish the whole
thing. In a show of strength and solidarity we wrapped it up with a lap in team formation. The
results: Bunnies take 2nd place in Cat 4's (only 2 teams but so what!), we got some gel and a seat
post, and Shawn is still messed up from hitting the deck. All in all a rousing success for bunnydom!
